Refund policy
Naughty Bean Coffee is a brand of Naughty Bean Consulting (Pty) Ltd.
This policy is governed by the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECT Act) and the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) of South Africa.
1. COFFEE BEANS (PERISHABLE PRODUCTS)
All coffee beans sold by Naughty Bean Coffee are fresh, perishable food products.
For hygiene and quality control reasons:
- All coffee bean purchases are final
- We do not accept returns, exchanges, or refunds on coffee beans once they have been dispatched or delivered
This includes (but is not limited to):
- Incorrect grind size selected
- Change of preference
- Taste preferences
We take great care in ensuring quality and freshness. However, if you receive a product that is damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery, and we will investigate and resolve the issue.
2. MERCHANDISE & COFFEE ACCESSORIES
Merchandise and coffee accessories (e.g., mugs, equipment, apparel) may be returned or exchanged subject to the conditions below.
You may request a return within 7 days of delivery, provided that:
- The item is unused, unworn, and in original condition
- All original packaging is intact
- The item is suitable for resale
- Proof of purchase (order number or invoice) is provided
3. RETURNS, EXCHANGES & CANCELLATIONS
All return, exchange, or cancellation requests must be submitted via email to:

Return Conditions:
- Items must not be damaged, altered, or used
- All components, accessories, and packaging must be included
- Items must be packaged securely for return transit
- Requests must be logged within 7 days of delivery
Fees:
- A return courier/admin fee may apply
- Original shipping fees are non-refundable
- A handling/restocking fee (minimum 10%) may apply where packaging is damaged or incomplete
Returns are processed only once the item has been received and inspected.
4. ORDER CANCELLATIONS
- Orders canceled before dispatch will be refunded in full
- Orders canceled after dispatch cannot be stopped and must follow the return process above
- If a product was made or prepared specifically for your order, a cancellation fee may apply
5. REFUNDS
- Refunds are processed within 7–14 business days after receiving and approving the returned item
- Refunds will be issued to the original payment method
- Banking processing times may vary depending on your provider
Any applicable deductions (e.g., courier or restocking fees) will be communicated before processing the refund.
6. DAMAGED OR INCORRECT ITEMS
If you receive an item that is damaged, defective, or incorrect:
- Notify us within 48 hours of delivery
- Include photos and your order number in your email to hello@naughtybean.coffee
If the issue is confirmed, we will:
- Arrange a replacement, or
- Issue a refund at no additional cost to you
7. NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS
The following items are not eligible for return or refund:
- Coffee beans and other consumable products
- Items that have been used, opened, or altered
- Items returned without original packaging
- Items returned outside the 7-day return window
8. GENERAL
Naughty Bean Coffee reserves the right to refuse returns that do not meet the conditions outlined above.
